WBA test Cardiff with 4m Whittingham bid?

The tabloids are usually pretty good when it comes to sniffing out a transfer story but I hope Tuesday's Daily Mirror are off the mark.

They report

West Brom boss Roy Hodgson has made a £4million bid for Cardiff midfielder Peter Whittingham.

Fulham are also keen on the 27-year-old, but the Baggies have made the first move.
