The Championship weekend

A good start for City on Friday when Middlesbrough were beaten away at Birmingham City.

That means Cardiff could open up a six point gap over 'Boro, who are currently third, if City beat Sheffield Wednesday tomorrow.

A Cardiff win would guarantee at least a five point gap over 3rd place even if Leicester win today. The Foxes have the chance to go a point above Middlesbrough if they beat Derby in the evening kick off at The King Power Stadium.

The closest team to Cardiff, Crystal Palace, are at home to rivals Brighton on Saturday afternoon while the form team, Millwall, entertain local rivals Charlton at the New Den.
