South Wales derby 'banter'
'You Jack B*astards, we're coming for you'
The chants heard in the stands from the fans since Cardiff got promoted spilled over to the players when some of the City squad were singing the same song from the open top bus down Cardiff Bay on Sunday evening.
The song has rattled a few cages down West with former Swans player Leighton James calling for police involvement.
He said "South Wales Police and the Football Association of Wales should take action over the behaviour of Mark Hudson and other Cardiff City players during their promotion celebrations.
"A club captain has a position of responsibility so should not be chanting offensive songs about his side’s rivals on an open top bus parade.
"When Alan Tate and Lee Trundle held up a flag containing a obscene message at the Millennium Stadium in 2006, they were fined, banned for a game and received a police caution."
The flag held up by Tate and Trundle, in front of the live TV cameras said 'F*ck off Cardiff' and to me seems a bit more inciting than rival chanting.
With the Cardiff / Swansea rivalry poised to resume at the highest level we are going to to see plenty of posturing between both clubs in the coming year.
