Scimeca praise for Koumas

Jason Koumas is being tipped for a return to playing Premiership football by his new Cardiff City team-mate Riccardo Scimeca.

Scimeca linked up with the 26-year-old Wales international midfielder once again after signing from West Bromwich Albion last week, where Koumas is on a season-long loan from at Ninian Park.

Koumas promptly scored the winning goal for the Bluebirds in Saturday's 2-1 win at struggling Leicester City to keep them in touch with the play-off places and Scimeca feels he should be strutting his stuff in the top-flight.

He said: "He's such a talent, really he should be playing at the Premiership level given the ability he has got. He showed it with his free-kick.

"I've been fortunate enough to play with Jason before at West Brom, have teamed up with him again."
