Riggott vying for Cardiff deal

Defender Chris Riggott made his case for a contract with Cardiff in a reserve-team friendly against Llanelli.

The former Middlesbrough centre-half has been training with the Bluebirds during the summer and looked to impress boss Dave Jones as he started in a 5-0 win over the Welsh Premier League side.

Jones ruled his eye over a strong second-string line-up which included midfielders Solomon Taiwo, Jason Koumas, Stephen McPhail and Gavin Rae, who found the net twice.
