Ridsdale outlines 'what is needed'

Ridsdale spent Tuesday morning in talks at the club's Vale of Glamorgan Hotel training headquarters dissecting what went wrong and where it must be rectified next season. The Bluebirds chief has already stressed Jones will remain as the club's manager and that despite the disappointment of missing out on a top-six finish, seventh place had built on the progress achieved during recent years. But he is in no doubt as to what is required in the future. Ridsdale told the South Wales Echo: "Tough words were spoken about the culture and attitude inside the football club. "I have made it clear to Dave Jones what is needed. I would like to think the way we have behaved as a club in the face of severe criticism is the right way. We are working hard to make sure we come out of this and go into next season even stronger. Nobody has been wallowing in their own pity since the last Championship match. "There are big decisions to be made and we will make them - whether or not people agree with us. Make no mistake, we are hurting as much as anybody else. Fans are hurting and they think that somehow we are not. But anybody who believes that is way off the mark."
