Cardiff City central defender Darren Purse has pledged his future to the Ninian Park club by signing a new contract extension.
The 30-year-old has been linked with a move to Wigan Athletic this summer, with his current deal set to run out in a year's time.
However, Purse is now tied to the Bluebirds long-term, a position he is more than happy with.
He told the club's official website: "I always wanted to sign a new contract to stay at Ninian Park.
"I have loved playing for Cardiff and can honestly say that the last two years have been the most enjoyable of my career.
"I'm glad that everything has been sorted out and am looking forward to the new campaign as we aim to improve on last season.
"The gaffer has already made some impressive signings to strengthen the squad and everyone is raring to go."
