Premier League attendance averages

City are 13th (from 20) in the current averages to date.

With a capacity now of a tad over 28,000 Cardiff have achieved the highest they are going to get this season (unless attendances at other grounds drop significantly or they get more seats in CCS).

The Bluebirds average 27,540 from the six home games played so far. Interestingly that's higher than every team currently in the Championship.

Ten years ago average attendance for the 2003/04 season (City's first in the Championship) was 15,569. That was at Ninian Park.

The first season at CCS in 2009/10 saw an average of 20,717.

At November 25th, 2013   Team Total Average 1 Manchester United 450,876 75,146 2 Arsenal 360,134 60,022 3 Newcastle United 302,252 50,375 4 Manchester City 282,462 47,077 5 Liverpool 268,224 44,704 6 Sunderland 256,251 42,708 7 Chelsea 249,102 41,517 8 Everton 222,721 37,120 9 Aston Villa 220,069 36,678 10 Tottenham Hotspur 215,913 35,985 11 West Ham United 209,336 34,889 12 Southampton 176,312 29,385 13 Cardiff City 165,244 27,540 14 Norwich City 160,966 26,827 15 Stoke City 154,470 25,745 16 West Bromwich Albion 150,055 25,009 17 Fulham 149,794 24,965 18 Hull City 142,038 23,673 19 Crystal Palace 138,584 23,097 20 Swansea City 122,139 20,356
