Post match reaction from Elland Rd

Malky 'A very good point'. Cardiff drew 1 - 1 with Leeds Utd at Elland Rd.

Post match comments from Malky Mackay.

"At the end of the day it's a very good point, we're playing against a good team up here who've been on a very good run and have only been beaten at home once this season.

"I think with the amount of chances we actually had, we obviously had to sustain pressure certainly at the end there was a lot of high ball going into our box, we had to sustain that, I think it's a good point at the end of the day."

Regarding the second half, Mackay added: "They had to change things, they pushed their full-backs really on and really had to go for it, had to try and get back into the game.

"We had control of that first-half and both full-backs were going on at one time and I think we just had to be a little bit more clever when we got back in possession of the ball again to slide balls down sides because we would have been in."

And the view from Simon Grayson.

"We said to the players at half time we needed to lift the tempo with and without the ball.

"I thought we did okay, there wasn't much in the game and a mistake or maybe a foul that we should have had for the (Mason) goal didn't go our way. Their keeper made some good saves.

"But we knew we had to increase the tempo, as I said, with and without the ball. We certainly did that and we kept attacking, they made some great blocks, the keeper made some great saves and rightly so we got at least a draw out of the game where we could have possibly won."

Regarding their goal, he said: "I think he has caught him in the back and put him off his stride but Darren should have probably cleared it in the first place as well.

"But he got a knock on his head early part and he got one on Wednesday night so he's a little bit concussed but he should have dealt with it but I still felt it was a little bit of a foul as well but these things happen and we regrouped really well.

"I thought we could have gone into our shell a little bit but we got out, got at them, created some good chances and on another day we could have won."
