Stephen McPhail is a creative midfield playmaker for Cardiff City. He possesses plenty of skill and the distribution skills to unlock opposition defences. Stephen has made over 150 first-team appearances for the Bluebirds since joining the club in the 2006 close season. After featuring in the opening Championship games of 2009-10 he was then sidelined by injury and soon afterwards he was diagnosed with lymphoma. Stephen fought back against the illness to regain his position in the team, but his appearances in 2010-11 were restricted by niggling injury problems. Stephen captained Cardiff?s team in the 2008 FA Cup final against Portsmouth and has been capped at full international level by the Republic of Ireland.
