Pericard dreaming of City switch

The 26-year-old is currently on trial with the Bluebirds and was a second-half substitute in Saturday's 2-0 friendly defeat to Valencia, winning a penalty almost immediately after coming on which Ross McCormack subsequently missed. The former Juventus, Portsmouth and Stoke frontman is a free agent having been released by Potters boss Tony Pulis earlier this summer, and he is desperate to complete a move to the Cardiff City Stadium. "I believe Cardiff can do very well this year and I am hoping the manager will include me in his team," Pericard told the South Wales Echo. "I have been very impressed by the new stadium and the new training ground and there is a lot of quality in the squad. Every football player wants to be involved in the kind of set-up Cardiff have. "In fact it would be a dream move to come to Cardiff and I'm doing my best to make that a reality. I have always had faith in my ability and believe I should be at a good club, one that is moving forward."
