Parry seeks City deal

Cardiff City wideman Paul Parry is hoping to earn a new contract at Ninian Park by continuing to impress for the Bluebirds.

The 26-year-old Wales international had been tipped to leave City in the summer, but has forced his way back into the starting eleven, earning a recall to the national team in the process.

Parry commented: "I've got a year left on my contract and, hopefully, I might have a few more years at the club.

"I've started the season quite well and I just want to continue this good run of form I'm in.

"From my own point of view, I think I've had a decent start to the season."

Parry joined Cardiff in January 2004 for £75,000 from Hereford United, where he had made well over 150 appearances after progressing through the youth ranks.
