New signing Lawrence hoping for fresh start

City's new signing Liam Lawrence is hoping to put the past year behind him and have a successful time at Cardiff.

Lawrence has been taken off the books of struggling Portsmouth and will play for Cardiff until thre end of the season.

“I was glad to see the back of 2011,” said Lawrence. “It was a nightmare, unbelievable. 

“I’m looking for a fresh start. My calf strain is healing quickly and I’m hopeful of playing against Brighton tomorrow.”

Despite the apparant lack of new talent in the city squad Lawrence could be one of three loan signings on the bus to Brighton. Haris Vuckic and Kadeem Harris the other two.
