McCormack enjoys support
10 Aug 2009 - 12:08:59
Cardiff City striker Ross McCormack has thanked the club's fans for supporting him during the 4-0 opening day win at home to Scunthorpe United.
The 22-year-old Scotland international has been linked with a move away from the Bluebirds, but he is determined to give his all while he remains in the Welsh capital.
He told the South Wales Echo: "When I was warming up I heard a few unsavoury things aimed at me.
"But once the game started I'm glad that the supporters got behind me and the team for such an important game.
"It has been an eventful couple of weeks, but I have and always will be, totally focused playing for this club until such a time that is not the case.
"Cardiff gave me the chance to play at this level and I have always given 100 per cent in everything I do."
