McCormack: No exit request
05 Aug 2009 - 09:17:27
Cardiff City striker Ross McCormack has angrily denied asking for a transfer, amid interest from a number of Premier League clubs.
The 22-year-old Scotland international is a rumoured £5million target for Hull City, but McCormack insists he is more than happy to remain with the Bluebirds.
He told the club's official website: "I don't know where those quotes have been dug up from.
"Everyone seems to think I don't care about Cardiff and I want to leave, but that's not the case. I'm happy here, so is my fiancee and we're looking for a new house.
"The fans here have been brilliant and it's killing me they are reacting as if I want to leave as soon as I can. I'm happy and not planning to go anywhere.
"I'm upset at these reports, but everyone knows the situation, I had a conversation with the chairman and said that if a Premier League club came in for me, I'd like the chance to speak to them.
"There was no transfer request."
