Marshall seals Bluebirds switch
Published : 13 May 2009 11:14:00
It was revealed on Tuesday afternoon that the Canaries had accepted a bid and the 24-year-old agreed terms with the Bluebirds later that day before putting pen to paper. Marshall becomes the first big-name player to depart Carrow Road after the club's relegation to League One, and is the first new arrival at Cardiff as Dave Jones looks to enhance his squad following the heartbreaking manner in which they missed out on a play-off place. The highly-rated shot-stopper, who appeared for Scotland B last week, signed for Norwich from Celtic in 2007 for £1million. Marshall's agent Willie McKay told Cardiff's official website: "He's really delighted to be coming to a great club like Cardiff City. "Cardiff are potentially a big, big club and all they need to do is step forward into the Premier League and I think they will be there to stay. I'm sure David will be a big fans favourite and I always thought he would play in the Premier League at some stage. I hope it's with Cardiff."
