Malky looking fulful his ambition
and satisfy the dreams of the Cardiff City faithful by taking the side to the Premier League.
If Cardiff draw or better against Charlton tonight they will be promoted to the top tier of the football league since losing their place in 1962.
And for Malky Mackay it's another step in a stunning effort in just two seasons with Cardiff City.
“It will be a massive ambition of mine fulfilled (to get to the Premier League),” said Mackay, who has already taken Cardiff to the Carling Cup final and the Championship play-offs during his first season on charge.
“It would be a great achievement for the players, the staff and the whole football club if we can do it.
“I know the Championship very well. It’s incredible.
“I know what it takes in terms of mental toughness and what it does to you to get out of it.
“I changed jobs and moved down to Cardiff and I’ve had some great experiences and met some wonderful people over the last 18 months.
“I’m really enjoying it and I will be proud if I what I achieve get us up.
“Managers want to manage at the best level they can. You want to test yourself against the best and obviously the Premier League is the best there is.”
