    Loovens torn over City exit

    14 Aug 2008 - 11:42:03

Dutch defender Glenn Loovens is said to be in two minds whether to leave the Bluebirds, with both Celtic and Rangers interested in the centre-back.

The 24-year-old has another 12 months left on his Ninian Park contract, but has stalled on signing a new deal until he knows exactly where he stands.

A source close to Loovens told the Western Mail: "Glenn is finding it hard because he loves it at Cardiff City.

"The reason he does not want to speak out publicly about what is going on is out of respect for the club. He accepts that he owes everything to Cardiff City.

"They have dealt so well with him and he has a fantastic relationship with the supporters.

"But he believes he is still young and still has time to make a least a couple of steps up in the game during his career."
