Ledley ponders Cardiff stay

Wales midfielder Joe Ledley has offered Cardiff City some hope that he may remain with the club and put pen to paper on a new contract.

The 22-year-old's current deal runs out at the end of the season and imminent surgery on a troublesome hip injury could see Ledley end his Bluebirds career prematurely.

However, Ledley told BBC Wales: "I've spoken to the chairman and will ring my agent and hopefully we'll sort something out and agree something we're both happy with.

"I love playing for Cardiff and I'm a Cardiff fan.

"If it happens then brilliant, but if not I've got to move on in my career and try to find the best club that would want me."
