Jones seeks loan cover

Cardiff City boss Dave Jones is desperate to sign a loan full-back after learning that Kevin McNaughton will be out of action for six weeks.

McNaughton picked up a hamstring injury during the 4-0 win against Wolves last weekend, forcing him to drop out of the Scotland squad to face France and Ukraine.

Tests have now revealed the full extent of the problem and the 24-year-old is likely to miss the Bluebirds' next seven Championship matches.

Jones told the South Wales Echo: "He (McNaughton) will be out for five or six weeks. We're looking urgently for a replacement full-back to sign on loan."
