Cardiff City boss Dave Jones has reportedly been handed a 72-hour deadline to decide if he wants to quit Ninian Park and take over the West Bromwich Albion hot seat.
The Baggies have been looking for a new manager since Bryan Robson was sacked three weeks ago and Jones, who has guided the Bluebirds to the top of the Championship this season, is thought to be at the head of their wanted list.
Jones is believed to be tempted to take on the job, but is also happy at Cardiff after building a team he thinks is capable of pushing for promotion this term.
However, it seems Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace has now put a timescale on how long Jones has got to make a decision, while he is also happy to pay the reported £300,000 compensation clause in his Cardiff contract.
Meanwhile, Jones has delayed making a decision on whether to hand former Birmingham City and Portsmouth midfielder Aliou Cisse a contract at Ninian Park.
The Senegal international has been training with the club recently but Jones will wait before deciding what to do.
He said: "Aliou will continue to train with us. He's fit and ready, but no decisions on the future have been made yet."
