Dave Jones claims Tuesday's 1-0 home win against Southampton was his Cardiff City side's finest moment of the Championship season to date.
The former Saints boss witnessed his side stretch their winning run to five successive games when striker Steve Thompson lashed in an 84th-minute left-footed strike past keeper Kelvin Davis.
It means Cardiff remain six points clear at the top of the Championship table and Jones felt the display and win was the best yet.
Jones, who guided Wolves to the Premiership via the play-offs in 2003, said: "That was our best victory so far this season.
"They were digging trenches all over the place, but like any George Burley side they still came at us and Neil Alexander had to make a couple of top-class saves to keep them out.
"I was ready to accept a hard-earned point until Steve got the goal he deserved for a top performance."
