Jones focuses on positives
Manager Dave Jones has hailed Cardiff`s supporters and called for all quarters of the club to focus on the positives from the first half of the season as they look to get back on track. After play-off final disappointment and further financial worries over the summer which resulted in a subsequent transfer embargo, the Bluebirds - boosted by the likes of Craig Bellamy and success of Jay Bothroyd - have enjoyed a successful campaign to date.Dominating the top two along with QPR they head into Christmas four points off top spot, although that has all been overshadowed somewhat by a current run in which they have taken just five points from a possible 21."I would very much like to say that, as always, the supporters have been absolutely outstanding for us and a real asset to what we`re trying to do," Jones told City`s official website."I understand the fans` frustrations, especially when making long trips to Middlesbrough to a disappointing outcome. But we all need to keep driving on and to maximise on all of the positives around the place, of which there are many."As far as we`re concerned we just want to get out there and play and get back to winning ways, which we`ll look to do this weekend against Coventry on Boxing Day. At the moment we know very well that results haven`t gone well for us, but again, with the bigger picture of the entire season in mind we`re where we all wanted to be. Now we want to take it to the next level, which is something we need to do together as a club."
