Jones fires Cardiff warning

Unhappy Cardiff manager Dave Jones has vowed to wield the axe in dramatic style should the Bluebirds' slide down the Championship table continue. Last month City sat at the top of the table, but following a dismal run which has seen them take only ten of a possible 33 points on offer, the South Wales club are in danger of slipping out of the play-off zone. "These players have got until the transfer window opens to get back to what they were doing," warned Jones. "Rather than look for two or three players, I might have to say I need six or seven because these aren't doing it. "These players got us to the top. But I've got the gun and I'm saying don't give me the bullet, because I will fire it."
