Jones eyes Ledley return

Cardiff City are hopeful that midfielder Joe Ledley will return to action before the end of the season, having recently undergone hip surgery.

The Bluebirds had feared that the 23-year-old Wales international would be out until the summer, but he is making good progress in his recovery.

Boss Dave Jones told the club's official website: "Joe goes to see the specialist on Monday and we'll find out whether he can start running again.

"Once he can start running we are maybe looking at two to three weeks if everything goes well. So sometime in April we might have him back.

"I think Joe wants to play again before the end of the season, but again we are in the hands of the specialist and when he gives the all-clear."
