Hudson ready for top honour
13 May 2010 - 14:25:07
Cardiff City captain Mark Hudson is still pinching himself at the thought of leading the side out at Wembley for their Championship play-off final against Blackpool on May 22.
The Bluebirds saw off Leicester City on penalties on Wednesday evening to set up the meeting with the Seasiders and, after suffering relegation from the Championship with Charlton Athletic last term, he can't believe how things have turned around.
Speaking to reporters, he said: "I'd much rather be on this side of the tape for sure. It's fantastic.
"It's swings and roundabouts. I was in the play-offs, got relegated and now am through to Wembley.
"It does happen in football, you get lots of highs and lots of lows. Hopefully we can end it on a high.
"I'm going to enjoy it but we've still got another one to go. It will be amazing, the greatest occasion for me. For my family to be there to see that will be even better. It will be fantastic if I get to lead the team out."
