Future fears for Alexander

Cardiff City goalkeeper Neil Alexander is a target for Coventry City, having rejected the offer of a new contract from the Bluebirds.

The 28-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, with his agent refuting suggestions that his client is being greedy with his demands.

Andy Evans told the South Wales Echo: "Is Neil being greedy? Absolutely not.

"Neil is asking for a perfectly fair contract that reflects his status at the club.

"We've entered into a process of negotiation with the club and we're hopeful of reaching a positive outcome.

"Neil has stated several times his desire to stay at Cardiff, the possibility of other clubs looking at him isn't really an issue."

Alexander has been with City since the summer of 2001, making well over 200 appearances for the Ninian Park club.
