FAW rescind striker's red card

McCormack was dismissed by referee Paul Taylor in Sunday's 3-0 defeat against the Blades when he was alleged to have elbowed Kyle Naughton near the touchline. However, the FAW have reviewed the incident and cleared the Scottish striker of any wrongdoing. There is no such good news for defender Gabor Gyepes, though, who was also red-carded at the weekend. The panel have deemed the centre-half to have been guilty of a professional foul on Darius Henderson and he will be forced to serve a one-match ban, meaning he will miss the south Wales derby against Swansea City.
