Goalkeeper Peter Enckelman is hoping to turn his loan stay at Cardiff City into a more permanent arrangement in the summer.
The 31-year-old Finland international has impressed after moving from Blackburn Rovers and has helped the Bluebirds reach the FA Cup final, where they will face Portsmouth.
Enckelman told the Lancashire Citizen: "I am focused on playing football and leave all contract details to my agent.
"He will let me know when there is something certain, but right now I am concentrating on preparing for the FA Cup final.
"Cardiff gave me the chance to kick-start my career. There were moments when I found it difficult to motivate myself when I knew I would not be in the matchday 16 at Blackburn.
"Maybe I needed a new challenge and that was provided by Cardiff."
