City launch red card appeals

Cardiff City have launched appeals after Gabor Gyepes and Ross McCormack were dismissed in Sunday's home defeat to Sheffield United.

The Bluebirds could use comments made by Blades boss Kevin Blackwell as part of their defence.

Blackwell said in his post-match press conference: "You have to accept these decisions and just get on with it, but I thought both red cards looked harsh.

"When you're one-on-one in the box you're always likely to see a red card, but McCormack was right in front of me when he was sent off and I honestly don't know why he was dismissed."
