Chopra and JET help City close on West Ham

Both players scored as Ipswich beat the League leaders 5 - 1 at Portman Rd this midweek.

The point gained by Cardiff at Southampton means that City are just three points from the top of the Championship.

The big movers near the top were Birmingham City. Their 4 - 1 win at Leeds helped them into 4th place, four points behind Cardiff but with a game in hand.

The defeat for Leeds spelt the end of the road for Simon Grayson who was sacked on Thursday morning.

City's next opponbents, Blackpool, also enjoyed a win and they sit in 7th place only 5 points behind City.

Cardiff have reached 50 points and have played 28 games.
