Carling Cup 1/4 final teams

The eight sides in the hat for the 5th round of the Carling Cup are..

.. Arsenal, Blackburn, Cardiff, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Liverpool, Man City and Man Utd. 

Man City beat Wolves tonight by 5 goals to 2, three of them coming in a four minute spell. Liverpool overcame a tricky away tie at Stoke.

It needed extra time in the other two games. Chelsea overcame Everton with both teams finishing with 10 men while Blackburn beat Newcastle by four goals to three.

The draw for the 5th round is on Saturday lunchtime.
