Cardiff City have won the race to land free agent former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler.
The Bluebirds have agreed a two-year contract with the 32-year-old former England striker, who had rejected the opportunity to continue his career in Australia with Sydney FC.
Fowler was released by Liverpool at the end of last season and will join Cardiff as the replacement for Michael Chopra following the departure of last year's 23-goal leading scorer to Sunderland.
"Cardiff City are delighted to announce that Robbie Fowler has agreed to join them on a two-year contract," confirmed a club statement.
"Robbie is expected to be unveiled at a press conference in Cardiff on Monday or Tuesday this week."
