Cardiff v Hull. Match preview
from press sources.
Rudy Gestede's participation remains in doubt as Cardiff host Hull in the npower Championship.
The French striker has missed two games for the Bluebirds since limping off with a hamstring injury in a home defeat to West Ham.
Gestede's absence, though, did not cause Cardiff many difficulties in attack as Joe Mason (right) orchestrated Bristol City's two own goals in a 2-1 triumph on Saturday, and the 20-year-old is set to continue alongside Kenny Miller.
Stephen McPhail has been waylaid since the end of January due to the onset of Sjogren's Syndrome and a timely return to action remains in the balance for the club's vice-captain.
Slovakian midfielder Filip Kiss appeared as a late substitute in Saturday's victory at Ashton Gate and could push for a larger role against the Tigers.
Craig Conway is another option in midfield after returning to Malky Mackay's bench following a lengthy absence.
Hull could be without winger Robbie Brady for the clash.
Brady, on a season-long loan from Manchester United, suffered a recurrence of a thigh injury, which had kept him out of the previous two matches prior to his return at the weekend in the home draw with Ipswich.
The Irishman felt his thigh at half-time and was not risked in the the second period by manager Nick Barmby, who replaced him with Aaron Mclean.
Mclean is likely to return to the starting line-up at Cardiff if Brady fails to make it, while Josh King and Mark Cullen provide Barmby with alternative attacking options.
Barmby has no other new injury or suspension problems as the Tigers chase their first league win in six matches in an attempt to get their play-off bid back on track following five straight draws.
