Cardiff duo strike partnership

Cardiff City's free-scoring duo Michael Chopra and Jay Bothroyd are starting to enjoy life at the south Wales outfit.

After securing 10 points from the last possible 12, the Bluebirds are hot on the heels of Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion at the top of the tree.

Bothroyd believes he and Chopra are starting to mould their friendship and professional relationship together to the benefit of the team.

Speaking to Wales Online, he said: "Chops and I have a great laugh, we bounce off each other.

"He's a great lad. We've known each other since we were 15 years old and in the England junior team together.

"The more you play alongside somebody the more you understand their runs and movement.

"It's always good for striker partners to be close. He's in red-hot form and I believe I am playing my part as well."
