Cardiff deny cup switch plan
06 Jan 2009 - 12:00:08
Cardiff City have denied reports suggesting they were looking to switch their FA Cup fourth round meeting with Arsenal to the Millennium Stadium.
The Bluebirds are expecting a bumper crowd for the visit of the Premier League giants later this month.
However, they are not looking to move the tie - which will be held on either January 24 or 25 - away from Ninian Park.
"Contrary to media speculation, Cardiff City have no intention of switching the venue to the Millennium Stadium," read a club statement.
"Ninian Park is our spiritual home and all home fixtures will be carried out at this venue.
"We are currently liaising with Arsenal in terms of allocation and prices."
