Burke calls for consistency

Cardiff City midfielder Chris Burke believes the side should use Tuesday's emphatic victory against Derby County as the springboard to future progress.

The Bluebirds smashed their Championship rivals 6-1 at Cardiff City Stadium and the win propelled them to fifth in the table.

Speaking to the club's official website, he said: "The win over Derby can only give us confidence.

"The Championship is a weird division as you can see from the results on a regular basis.

"We just have to keep our feet on the ground and make sure we get some kind of consistency going.

"On Tuesday night we wanted to make sure that we played well for the fans, for the manager and for ourselves."
