Bluebirds sweating over Matthews
Wales went down 2-1 to Bosnia-Herzegovina in Sarajevo, with Swansea's Joe Allen handing the visitors an early lead with a header via Matthews' throw-in. But from then on it all went downhill for Brian Flynn's side as the home side levelled matters prior to the half-hour mark before going on to grab a 66th-minute winner shortly after missing a penalty. However, Matthews' game ended just after the interval as he was forced off with a minor groin strain due, in part, to a heavy pitch. Cardiff's medical team will assess the teenage full-back upon his return to South Wales on Thursday evening.
