Bluebirds suffer Ledley blow

Cardiff City midfielder Joe Ledley could be out of action for up to three weeks after tests confirmed he suffered a torn hamstring in the 1-1 draw at Blackpool.

The 21-year-old has been ruled out of Wales' World Cup qualifiers against Liechtenstein and Germany and could also miss the Bluebirds' Championship games against Charlton Athletic, Watford, Blackpool and Nottingham Forest.

Ledley told the South Wales Echo: "It's a big blow to miss the World Cup games.

"I always enjoying joining up with the Welsh squad and these two are big games for us.

"But it looks as if this injury is going to rule me out for two to three weeks."
