Bluebirds snap up Hudson

Cardiff City have completed the signing of Charlton Athletic defender Mark Hudson for a fee in excess of £1million.

The 27-year-old had only been with the Addicks for one season, but moved on following the London club's relegation from the Championship.

He told his new club's official website: "I'm excited and pleased to have completed the move.

"I met the manager and the chairman and they showed me around the new stadium and the training ground and it looked superb.

"Cardiff went pretty close last year and hopefully this time around we can take that one step extra."
