Bluebirds seal Gyepes deal

Cardiff City have signed defender Gabor Gyepes from Northampton Town for an undisclosed fee.

Gyepes, 27, joined the Cobblers in January after serious injury forced his release from previous club Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Hungary international successfully proved his fitness at the League One side and has now joined the Bluebirds.

Cardiff boss Dave Jones was on the lookout for a new defender after Glenn Loovens left to join Celtic last week.

"I have aspirations to play for Hungary again, but I must concentrate on gaining a starting place and performing well for Cardiff," Gyepes told the club's official website.

"It is a big challenge for me and I will always give Cardiff 100 per cent commitment."
