Bluebirds reveal big losses

Cardiff City have announced losses of more than £1million for the latest financial year.

The Bluebirds, who missed out on the play-offs on a dramatic final day of the Championship season, made a loss of £1.05million for the year up to 31 May 2008.

The loss comes despite the Welsh club reaching last season's FA Cup Final, while they also received £5.5million in player sales during the period.

Meanwhile, Cardiff have agreed a fee to sign goalkeeper David Marshall from Norwich City.

Chairman Peter Ridsdale has confirmed that a "six-figure fee" has been agreed between the two clubs for the former Celtic keeper.
