Bluebirds keen on Clarkson

Cardiff City are being linked with an interest in Motherwell's Scotland international striker Dave Clarkson.

The 24-year-old has reportedly been watched by the Bluebirds on several occasions, with Ross McCormack having been a big hit with City since his arrival from Fir Park.

The South Wales Echo quote a source close to the deal as saying: "Cardiff representatives have been here several times last season and Clarkson is a very talented player.

"Like McCormack, he is a handful in the Scottish Premier League and could easily make the adjustment to the Championship.

"He scored on his international debut and he has kept his place in the squad, he certainly has an eye for goal and is very well respected in the SPL."
