Bluebirds fail with McPhail appeal

The former Leeds and Barnsley man was given his marching orders for a tackle on Reading's Jem Karacan in the midweek clash at the Madejski Stadium. The FAW have rejected an appeal from the Bluebirds and the 29-year-old will now miss Saturday's game with QPR, the Carling Cup clash with Aston Villa on Wednesday and the meeting with Sheffield Wednesday the following weekend.
