Cardiff City have launched an ambitious bid to lure former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler to Ninian Park for next season.
Fowler, 32, left Anfield following the conclusion of his contract at the end of last season and has yet to decide where his future lies.
Cardiff chairman Peter Ridsdale, who once signed Fowler during his time at the helm of Leeds United, is hoping to tempt the former England striker into signing for the Championship club on a one-year contract.
"We have offered an attractive package and are hopeful Robbie will decide to come to Cardiff City," he revealed.
"I think the calibre of the players the club is approaching shows how much we've progressed."
Fowler has also been linked with Rangers and Celtic in Scotland plus moves to both Australia and the USA.
