Accrington Stanley v Cardiff City Match preview

Capital One Cup action tonight, ko 7:45pm.
Cardiff City follow their superb triumph over Man City on Sunday with a trip to the Football Leagues bottom club.
Accrington Stanley have not won a League game this season and go into tonight's first ever competitive meeting between the sides as underdogs. The only victory they have achieved came away at Middlesbrough in Round 1 of this competition.
But Cardiff will be aware just what underdogs can do, refer back to Sunday for example.
Malky Mackay will rest most if not all of his starting Premeir League XI but will still be able to call on players like skipper Mark Hudson, Nicky Maynard, Craig Noone, Craig Conway, Joe Mason and John Brayford who all should be far too good for the League 2 strugglers.
“We’ve got total respect for the cup and we will be making sure we fully respect Accrington," said Mackay. "It’s an away game and it’s going to be tough. We are going to need to be diligent if we are going to get through to the next round.
“I’ll look at my squad to see who is involved. That’s the beauty of having the squad in that we’ve got the players here capable of going there and doing a job.
“We’ve got two or three players who are going to need the full 90 minutes there. We will go out and be professional as we always are.”
The match will be settled tonight after 90 mins, extra time or penalties. The draw for the 3rd round follows tonight's games.Accrington are again without striker Danny Webber, who serves the second game of a three-match ban following his red card against Bury.
Veteran full-back Nicky Hunt is also sidelined after suffering medial ligament damage last week.
