Under-fire Ridsdale stands ground

The Bluebirds chairman has come under increased pressure from fans as the club struggle for financial well being, culminating in the scenes witnessed following Saturday's 2-1 win over Doncaster in which fans held up banners saying 'Ridsdale out' and 'Peter, where's our money gone?'.[LNB]"I don't wish to say anything about what happened afterwards," Ridsdale told the South Wales Echo. "With regards to after-match events, I've no interest in making any comment upon them."[LNB]But he was keen to applaud those in the stadium for the way they backed their side to the end, with Jay Bothroyd heading home a 92nd-minute winner.[LNB]He added: "I would like to place on record my admiration for the way our supporters handled themselves from kick-off to the final whistle.[LNB]"I thought they were superb. I'm adamant the way they backed the team right through to the end kept the players going and played its part in our injury-time winner."[LNB][LNB]
