Turner looking to turn draws into wins

City defender Ben Turner wants to see his side winning games rather than drawing them.

City have drawn seven of their twelve away games this season with just three wins. The club could have been far better off points wise if they had lost three of those drawn games and won the other four. So while it's good not to lose, the single point on offer for a draw is sometimes just small consolation.

“We are going to have to raise our levels if we are going to be where we want to be in this division,” warned Turner.

“We were disappointed at Watford, to be honest, because I don’t think we played as well as we can. Obviously, if we had raised our levels slightly we should have been able to win the game.

“Not losing away is a positive, but there was disappointment. Not losing two on the bounce was important, but you only get a point. It’s better than defeat.

“But we need to start winning because we are drawing too many games. We need to turn these one-point games into three-point games and then we will be where we want to be.”

Cardiff face Nottingham Forest tomorrow at the City Ground. Forest have not scored in their last six games, collectiong just one point from the last 18 available. If Cardiff have any serious ambitions this season then three points is the only satisfactory reward from this game.
