Trust reaction to Jones dismissal
The Trust issued the following statement following confirmation of Dave Jones' departure from Cardiff City: Tim Hartley, chairman of Cardiff City Supporters’ Trust, said: “We would like to join all fans and thank Dave Jones for his contribution to Cardiff City over a six year period in which the club reached the FA Cup Final and the Championship Play-Offs twice. We wish him well in the future. “Dave Jones’ departure provides a perfect opportunity to bring in a new, high quality manager who can take Cardiff City onto the next stage – the Premier League. With a large number of players leaving the club at the end of the season, it will allow the new manager the chance to build a team to take the club forward.” Trust officials are approaching the club for an urgent meeting following the departure of Dave Jones.
