Toshack hopes for Ledley resolution

Wales boss John Toshack hopes the ongoing transfer saga regarding out-of-contract midfielder Joe Ledley can end soon, but believes the player could yet remain with Cardiff. Stoke, West Brom and Celtic are said to be among several sides interested in signing the Wales international, who has won 32 caps for his country, but Toshack wants a solution to be found soon so Ledley can settle down and prepare for the new season. "We keep reading about the same clubs - Stoke, Celtic I think have been mentioned as well," Toshack told BBC Sport Wales. "It's coming to a time now where you would have liked things to have been resolved one way or another because the pre-season is starting now. "A player wants to do his pre-season with the club and the players that he's going to be playing with when the season begins. "So I would hope, or I would think, that maybe Joe would stay where he is for the time being, because it can be a bit disruptive to go and do half a pre-season with one side then go sign for another side. "I honestly don't know what the situation is with Joe at the moment but I would have thought if he was going to move that he would have gone by now."
